Spanish or Catalan for Organizations
For individuals at risk of educational exclusion

Groups, organizations, foundations, or institutions
These courses can be purchased by different groups working with or supporting migrants at risk of educational exclusion so that they can take the courses.
Methodology and Levels
At Fundación BCNLIP, we work with a communicative approach, adapting content and classroom dynamics to the real abilities of our students.
We use inclusive techniques and accessible materials, specifically designed for individuals with interrupted educational backgrounds or limited access to formal education. This fosters active participation, confidence, and autonomy.
Our courses primarily focus on levels A1, A2, and B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which correspond to the basic and intermediate stages of language learning:
· A1 – Breakthrough: Understanding and using everyday expressions and simple phrases.
· A2 – Waystage: Communicating in familiar situations and talking about personal topics.
· B1 – Threshold: Understanding simple texts and engaging in oral production on familiar or general-interest topics.
Although we follow the CEFR structure, we tailor each level to the pace and needs of the group. For the basic levels (A1 and A2), we offer extended durations to allow for true integration of the content.
Additionally, thanks to our support programs, we are able to offer scholarships for continued training at higher levels (B2, C1, and C2) at BCNLIP Language School, where language learning is further developed to reach advanced proficiency.
Duration
Courses are organized in eight-week cycles. Classes are from Monday to Friday (between 10 and 12 hours a week, depending on the level). Students can join different groups according to their level at any time during the course, as each group starts a new cycle at the end of the eight weeks.
Materials
We use proprietary audiovisual materials available in the Learning Resource Center (CREA) of the foundation.
Additionally, as an accompaniment we use the “Lipeando” manual, created and designed by our institution for beginners, alongside the “Aula Plus” manuals from the Difusión publisher and the Difusión Virtual Campus, which both teachers and students of the foundation can access.
Other materials used include:
– The “Hablamos” manual and videos from the SGEL publisher.
– The “¿Hablamos?” manual from the Espai d’Inclusió i Formació Casc Antic.
– The “Tejiendo el español” manual, Madrid 2020, La Rueca Association.
– The “Aprendiendo un idioma para trabajar” manual, 2002, Red Cross.
– The “CONECTA(R) A1.1” oral Spanish manual, Madrid 2022, CEAR.
Program Schedule
Each course has a start and end date that may not coincide with the beginning or end of a week, so once each start date is known, the teachers plan the distribution of course content.
Approximately one week is dedicated to each unit, with a review class before each exam.
Assessment
The foundation follows a continuous evaluation system for all courses, meaning that regular feedback is provided to each student to improve.
Each teacher prepares a monthly report assessing various aspects of student progress and different competencies. There are two exams: an intermediate exam, which serves as practice and helps assess what aspects need to be reinforced for the remainder of the course, and a final exam.
The four competencies assessed are: listening comprehension, speaking, reading comprehension, and writing. Efforts are made to make the tests as practical as possible, with speaking being a key focus. Upon completing the course, the school issues the corresponding certificates.
